So much so, there’s two of them! (The red, white, and blue Union Flag has official status as a secondary national flag, able to be flown alongside the Maple Leaf in situations where there are two poles of equal height and prominence )

I used to work for an allegedly patriotic service organization (not mentioning the name, but they are in the news for a class action child abuse lawsuit, and a bankruptcy filing) and our executive director was too much of a cheapskate to every buy a flag to fly outside our office building, so we were always bumming freebies from government officials. We’d leave the same one up continuously until it was faded to almost white and ripped to shreds by the wind, replace with a free one, and repeat. A few bucks would have gotten us a heavier duty, outdoor grade one, but no, we couldn’t  have our office looking respectable, donors might assume we didn’t need their money.

I don’t know what the rules and procedures are for your flag. I do ours, and too many of them are ignored. It results in a lot of shabby US flags flying. Flag etiquette is not just hoist it and forget it.

Also, I have a United Federation of Planets flag that I flew when Leonard Nimoy died.

I remember that. Squatted right there in front of the counter, shit on the floor, then picked it up and threw it at them. Then grabbed some napkins, wiped her ass and threw them at the employees as well.
